I. Cấu trúc so sánh hơn của Far

Trong cấu trúc so sánh hơn của Far, Far là tính từ bất quy tắc nên khi sử dụng cấu trúc ta phải chuyển sang Further hoặc Farther.

1.Cấu trúc so sánh ngang bằng

 

CÔNG THỨC:

S + V + as + (adj/ adv) + as 

 

Ví dụ:

+ I’m as good in Math as in science.

 

2. Cấu trúc so sánh hơn

 

CÔNG THỨC:

Nếu từ chỉ có 1 âm tiết: ADJ/ADV + đuôi -er + than

Nếu từ có 2 âm tiết trở lên: more + ADJ/ADV + than

 

- short – shorter (She is shorter than me.)

 

- high – higher (This house is higher than that house.)

 

- clever – cleverer (Your son is cleverer than mine.)

 

3. So sánh nhất

 

CÔNG THỨC:

Tính/ trạng từ ngắn

+ S + V + the + adj/advngắn- est

Tính/ trạng từ dài

+ S + V + the most + adj/advdài

Ví dụ:

This is the longest car in the world. 

Đây là chiếc xe dài nhất trên thế giới.

 

Một số tính từ/ trạng từ bất quy tắc

4. So sánh kém

 

CẤU TRÚC:

S + V + less + adj/adv + than + noun/pronoun

= S + V + not as + adj/adv + as + noun/pronoun

 

Ví dụ:

 

+ This book is less interesting than that book. 

Quyển truyện này ít thú vị hơn quyển truyện kia.

 

5. So sánh kém hơn với danh từ

+ Danh từ đếm được (Countable noun):

S + V + fewer + plural noun + than + noun/pronoun

Ví dụ:

I bought fewer cakes than my brother. 

Tôi đã mua ít bánh hơn anh trai tôi.

 

+ Danh từ không đếm được (Uncountable noun):

S + V + less + uncountable noun + than + noun/pronoun/ clause

Ví dụ:

I have less spare time than Lan

Tôi có ít thời gian rảnh hơn Lan
